The Way of Harmonic Attunement
A somatic, rehabilitation-informed, and relational approach to supporting horses and their humans.
A Path of Softness, Clarity & Natural Balance
The Way of Harmonic Attunement brings together several rehabilitation-informed and somatic modalities to support horses in unwinding tension, softening bracing patterns, and returning to functional ease.
This work is not about “fixing” or imposing change.
It is about listening, attuning, and creating the conditions where the horse’s body, breath, and nervous system can reorganize themselves from within.
Harmonic Attunement restores comfort, clarity, and communication for both horse and human.
What This Path Supports
Horses who benefit from this work may experience:
-
bracing, tension, or restricted movement
-
difficulty bending, releasing, or stepping under
-
emotional holding or stored stress
-
asymmetry in posture or biomechanics
-
challenges with training, lunging, or connection
-
nervous-system dysregulation
-
past trauma or compensation patterns
-
sensitivity, shutdown, or reactivity
This path also supports humans in developing clearer feel, grounded boundaries, and attuned partnership.
The Foundations of Harmonic Attunement
This path integrates:
Equine Hanna Somatics®
Neuromuscular re-education supporting release of chronic holding and re-patterning of movement.
Straightness Training-Informed Biomechanics
Understanding natural asymmetry, functional posture, and healthy movement patterns.
Acupressure and Masterson Method-Informed Touch
Gentle, awareness-based release work that helps soften tension and restore flow.
Taoist Internal Principles (Applied to Horses)
Grounded intent, energetic coherence, and facilitating change without pressure.
Acutonics & Tuning Fork Frequency Work
Vibrational support for regulation, movement clarity, and subtle nervous-system shifts.
Shamanic Listening & Presence
Field-awareness, emotional attunement, and respectful presence with the horse’s lived experience. Each session weaves these modalities respectfully, adapting to the horse’s readiness and needs.
What Horses Experience
Many horses show:
-
softer movement
-
improved posture and alignment
-
emotional release and greater relaxation
-
enhanced willingness and trust
-
better balance and self-carriage
-
decreased bracing or resistance
-
a calmer, more regulated nervous system
-
a deepened sense of connection with their person
This work nurtures not only the horse, but the relationship.

Introduction to Straightness Training
A 6-Week Foundational Course Series for Horse Owners & Trainers
In-Person & Live Online
The Introduction to Straightness Training series offers a calm, structured entry point into Straightness Training - a proven system for addressing natural asymmetry in horses through clarity, consistency, and correct gymnastic development.
This series supports horses and humans in developing better balance, understanding, and communication without force or pressure.
Taught by a Certified Straightness Training Basic Instructor, this course follows the established Straightness Training framework with respect for the horse’s physical readiness and nervous system.
A Thoughtful Learning Structure
This 6-week series is offered in a hybrid format to support clarity and ease of learning.
Weeks 1- 3 | Live Online (Zoom)
Foundational understanding and preparation
Participants learn how Straightness Training works, why it begins at standstill and walk, and how to observe asymmetry with clarity rather than judgement.
Weeks 4- 6 | In-Person (with Horses)
Gentle, practical application
Participants apply these principles with horses in a quiet, supportive environment focused on standstill and walk.
This structure allows learning to unfold in a grounded, respectful way - supporting both horse and human readiness.
Quiet Presence as Support
Simple Quiet Presence-informed practices are included as supportive tools to help participants remain calm, attentive, and clear while working with horses.
These practices are brief and preparatory, and are offered solely to support presence, regulation, and relational safety.
They do not replace or replicate the deeper work taught in Quiet Presence Foundations.
Who This Series Is For
This series is well suited for:
• Horse owners wanting to better understand their horse’s balance and movement
• Trainers seeking to refine clarity, observation, and ethical application
• Horses beginning or restarting training
• Horses showing asymmetry, tension, or difficulty bending or stepping under
• Humans who value calm, non-coercive approaches
No prior Straightness Training experience is required.
What This Series Supports
Participants often gain:
• clearer observation skills

Sessions are guided by principles of consent, non-coercion, and listening-based change. No technique is imposed; each session unfolds in response to what is present for both horse and human.
Field & Scope of Practice
Harmonic Attunement is a multi-lineage, somatic, and rehabilitation-informed approach that works alongside appropriate veterinary care and within each professional’s scope of practice.
To maintain clarity and support the horse’s wellbeing:
-
I collaborate openly with veterinarians and follow their guidance where relevant
-
Sessions are not used for assessment, training, or evaluation by third parties
-
The work follows the horse’s readiness and the agreed-upon veterinary framework, not outside directives
This approach allows each member of the horse’s support team - veterinary, somatic, or training - to contribute with integrity from their own field of expertise, keeping the focus on what matters most: the horse and the relationship.
If the listed pricing is beyond what feels possible right now, please reach out.
Harmonic Attunement is meant to meet people & horses where they are - and I hold space for a few adjusted-rate sessions for those who sincerely need the support.
