Saskia completed her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in The Netherlands and after getting married became a mother of three wonderful children. Her husband's job took the growing family across the globe, finally settling in Canada in 2009. With over two decades as a stay at home Mum and caring for others behind her, Saskia has rediscovered her passion for learning and self-development. Recognizing the importance of physical, emotional psychological and spiritual wellbeing in her own journey, Saskia is now sharing her practices for personal renewal with the community.

She offers Usui Reiki combined with vibrational sound sessions for support of human relaxation & wellbeing as well as Tao Yin Yoga, Qigong & Meditation sessions for individuals and small groups

Horses were part of Saskia's life from early on and she feels fortunate to have grown up with graceful Lipizzaners at her childhood home. Horses found their way back into her life soon after moving to Canada with the arrival of two beautiful Andalusian geldings. Through her connection with horses Saskia has come to appreciate that the wellness of horses and humans often goes hand-in-hand. 

 

As a child and teen Saskia volunteered at a local barn to work in exchange for lessons and part of the job was to help individuals and groups of people, including those with special needs, enjoy connecting to and riding horses.The joy, enthusiasm and love for horses that people experienced during these sessions has always stayed with Saskia and she enjoys contributing to creating similar experiences for others.

While exploring a variety of modalities to support the wellbeing of her own horses, Saskia came across The Masterson Method®. She felt at home right away with how this equine bodywork helps to optimize health, and decided to pursue certification. Since becoming certified as an MMCP, Saskia also certified as an MMES to be able to help create opportunity for others to experience the beautiful gift of touching the horse.

Saskia is continuously learning and expanding her knowledge and skills in holistic horse care, equine functional anatomy and biomechanics. She enjoys being of service to, and supporting others by sharing the great value The Masterson Method® has to offer both horses and humans and offers Equine Bodywork in Calgary and surrounding areas. Vibrational Sound Sessions for equine relaxation are also available.
