About Saskia Struik, B.Ed

Be Free, The Way of Quiet Presence & Harmonic Attunement

Who I Am

I am a practitioner of quiet depth, subtle precision, and deep listening - to the body, breath, nervous system, the unseen story, and the living intelligence that moves through humans and horses.

My work is shaped by years of immersive study, multiple lineages of practice, thousands of hours with horses and people, and a lifelong devotion to understanding regulation, harmony, and relational presence.

It is also the authentic expression of my own healing path - one that continues to refine the clarity, steadiness, and humility I bring to every session.

A core guide in my personal and professional life is the Tao Te Ching, whose teachings on softness, humility, and non-forcing quietly inform the foundation of Quiet Presence.

How I Work

At the centre of everything I offer is Quiet Presence -
a way of seeing, listening, and meeting another being without pressure, agenda, or force.

Whether I am supporting a human or a horse, the principles remain the same:

  • Ease first

  • Softening first

  • Harmony first

From there, the body, mind, and spirit are able to reorganize naturally.

My sessions are not about fixing, but about creating the conditions in which restoration becomes possible.

I work relationally

  • with the whole being

  • with the nervous system

  • with the lineage field

  • with the environment

  • and with the moment itself

This is practice rooted in the Tao.

Who I Support

Humans come to this work when they are experiencing:

  • Overwhelm or emotional fatigue

  • Difficulty regulating

  • Transitions, loss, or relational shifts

  • Subtle energetic or somatic discomfort

  • A longing for deeper clarity and purpose

Horses benefit when they need:

  • Somatic release

  • Improved balance or posture

  • Support during rehabilitation

  • Clearer communication with their person

  • Help unwinding stored tension or bracing

Quiet Presence & Harmonic Attunement

These two paths - one for humans, one for horses - are interwoven.

When a person softens, the horse feels it.
When a horse settles, the person breathes differently.
Healing becomes a shared field.

This is relational practice shaped by the Tao.

You Are Welcome Here

Whether you seek personal healing, a deeper relationship with your horse, somatic clarity, or a quiet place to rest your nervous system - this work is here to support you.

Quiet Presence.
Harmonic Attunement.
